I have finally found 2 basic acceptable ways to post content to a drupal site from a linux desktop using the xmlrpc method. In general the way to perform the config is to choose generic everything, manual setup. Enter the URL to your drupal install + xmlrpc.php, and after activating the blog and blog api modules in drupal, it should work.

Check out the screenshot of Windows Live search in IE5.5 - they did not even try to make it work, forget it! We as devs have to deal with all their crap browsers and stupid quirks, but hey, when they put a site up, screw testing! We are only the creators of the piece of junk we call a browser, why would we make webpages that work in it?

Drupal 4.7.4 has been released. It fixes these security advisories:

JQuery is now being used to provide some site features.

One of the first things I added was a floating block tab box, using both the rounded corner plugin and the tab plugin.

The tab box reads the h2.title from the enabled block, and transfers that title to the tab. The usual title of the block is hidden using CSS so it is still readable as a DOM element.

Features:

• Tabs disappear if block is not enabled
• 3 tabs, more than 1 block allowed in each tab
• content is hidden until block is fully assembled, then fades in, pushing content aside

Pretty cool way to hide your surfing from prying eyes. Try it out, you will love it, I promise :)
